Сountryside house in the harmony with nature

The architecture of the country house is based on a play with contrasts: monumentality and lightness, tradition and modernity. The walls are lined with hand-formed brick, which blends spectacularly with the huge panoramic windows. The beams are left bare, while the roof is covered in tinted wood. Despite the visual ‘transparency’ of the architecture, the house has heating and is, therefore, able to withstand a real Russian winter: heating is provided by a convector under the windows, wall-mounted radiators and under-floor heating. Another interesting solution (functional and decorative at the same time) is a double-sided fireplace built into the wall: it heats both the guest room and the terrace. In this way, the idea of the interpenetration of the exterior and interior is underlined. The panoramic windows fully support this concept on the sides of the fireplace and the interior walls are finished with the same textured brick we used for the facade.
