In this project, we wanted to create the most spectacular landscape possible at a minimum cost. The garden is based on discreet perennial flowers, herbs and ethereal grasses that look aesthetically pleasing at any time of year. In summer there are green and flowering plants, while in winter there are dried plants in taupe and gold tones. The silhouette and shape of the plants played a major role. We planted them in identical species groups. This creates an impressive visual effect and a dense, three-dimensional composition similar to what we usually find in unspoilt nature. Each component in it delicately contrasts in texture, leaf shape and colour. We purposely refrained from bright, contrasting plants to get as close to the image of a natural landscape as possible. And the palette is quite subdued: it consists of all greens, bluish blues and silvery greys.
