Private family house

By just posing simple geometric volumes, we have achieved an overall complex composition. The heart of the house is the evergreen garden in the centre of the building. Wood and white brick occupy an important place. The two materials have completely different structures. Wood creates a cosy atmosphere in the rooms, where people will be present more frequently. Brick, in turn, protects wood from mildew and atmospheric condensation and takes the brunt of the load. Therefore wood and brick not only fulfil a structural function but also become important design elements. They create honest textures that transfer from the exterior to the interior. The entrance, guest room unit and study are made of wood. The wooden volumes are cosy spaces that we placed between the monumental brick walls.
